I have a two monitor setup...one is a BenQ 4K monitor on my left and the other is an Apple 30" Cinema Display at 2560x1920 on my right.  Lightroom Classic worked perfectly fine like this in Mojave. However, since updating to Catalina, when I only use one monitor (i.e. no secondary display) performance is as it was before updating to Catalina - quick as expected.  But when I have the main grid library view (with library, develop, map, etc on the upper right hand side) on the 4k monitor, and the Apple display showing the loupe (large image) the performance seriously lags and I'm back to square one.  Likewise, when I put the library grid on the Apple display and use the 4K monitor as the loupe, the performance is somewhat slow, but not as slow as the previous scenario.  So, the ONLY way I get normal performance is if I don't use a secondary display, and that's not an option.  Any suggestions?

This has been an ongoing issue with LR Classic for years and Adobe have not fix or even acknowledged the issue.

Here's one example thread; see the videos.

I have been using Lightroom for several years, and have never had this issue before - not until I update my Mac OS X to Catalina.
