I work exclusively with point sampling to measure and evaluate light intensity/ evenness in relation to my strobes. I work in fine art reproduction and documentation. Capture 1 has this function and it would be great if it could be built into Lightroom. ACR and Photoshop are already there, let's bring Lightroom up to speed!

What do you want it to do?  LR Classic already can show you the R, G, & B values (0-255 or 0%-100% depending on file type) for any pixel you click on.  Is "Point Sampling" something else?

"Point Sampling" displays many locations' RGB values at the same time on the screen.  This might be a grid of points to see the how the lighting is distributed.

In Lightroom you can only 'hover' for an RGB readout. I want to be able to place several point samples on an image. In Photoshop and ACR this is the +eyedropper tool. I shoot tethered in Lightroom and finish in Photoshop. It would greatly reduce my post production time if I could evaluate my images in realtime while still in Lightroom. It exists in Capture 1 and should be available in Lightroom.

Gerald,
I'm interested in how you use the Point Sample information.  I have an idea for you to try which might make it easier to interpret.
