Lightroom Classic 11.4.1 opens with a blank window and will not open an existing catalog. It won't even open a new catalog. I uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom Classic but still have same behavior. Photoshop works.

I am guessing you actually have version 8.4.1 (11.4.1 is Adobe Camera Raw).

Try resetting your preference file:

A Preference File will survive a Lightroom uninstall/reinstall. Sometimes weird behavior is corrected/cured by resetting the preferences.

Reset Procedure:1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.
Does the behavior continue after resetting the preferences?

You are correct about my error, the version is 8.4.1.

I opened Lightroom while holding [Opt] + [Shift] and the selected to Reset the Preferences.

I closed Lightroom and when I open it I get more than just the blank window.... an improvement!

I now get the Lightroom intro page with the mountain and contributor names, but this does not go away. I worked around it to select to open a catalog but still nothing happens.

Next step would be to verify your install is sound:

Clean Classic Install ProcedureClose Lightroom
Restart the computer
Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom Classic
Restart the computer
Install Lightroom Classic via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
Restart the computer
Launch Lightroom
Wait 5 minutes

THANK YOU!!

The rest of my response is just an FYI about seemed to be the problem.

The process you suggested got Lightroom Classic running and able to create and open a new, default catalog.

When I tried to open my personal catalog Lightroom hung. I left it for a while but it was stuck.

I then brought another copy of the catalog to my new computer and that worked. It looks like for this final step it seems that Apple's TimeMachine provided a corrupted catalog or something happened during all the attempts earlier today.
