Lightroom Classic: Needs to highlight files or folders just after their creation e.g. photomerge result

After creating a file e.g. an HDR using  Photomerge or a new folder just after importing new files, Lightroom does not make it easy to locate the latter by opening it immediately thereafter or highlighting it. For example, after selecting say 3 raw files for an HDR photomerge, it seems obvious that the resulting file will want to be reviewed. So why do you have to hunt for it after it has been created?  Can't Lightroom automatically open it in the loupe view window or at least have it highlighted in the grid. ?
Similarly, when you are browsing in the library module, the current open folder is not highlighted in the panel showing the folders in the library.
Why can't Lightroom show which folder you currently have open just with a simple highlight?

I understand what you're saying, but there are a lot of other workflows to consider.  For instance, I often have multiple pano and/or HDR merges running at once.  In my workflow, it would be annoying if LrC kept popping focus back to the newly created image or worse, opened it in loupe view.

With regards to the folder not being highlighted, I haven't experienced that.  Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing?

If you're working in the Catalog or Collections panels, nothing should be highlighted in the Folders panel. That's expected behavior.  If you're working in the Folders panel however, the current folder should be highlighted.

If you select three images with the last one highlighted, then Lightroom will select the resulting HDR (stacked with the brackets) after it has been created.
