Lightroom Classic: Image disappears when going from Library to Develop

In Lightroom Classic: When I view an image in LIBRARY mode is is ok...when I switch to DEVELOPE the image dissappears... this has never happened before in Lightroom...been using Lightroom for 6 years.

If you are a PC user, this sounds like a video driver problem. Have you gone to your video manufacturer's website and checked for the latest driver.

Sounds like your LR Pref file has become corrupt...  There is a keyboard combo when launching LR CC Classic that will let you erase your pref file. That might help.

I have this problem or something like it once every few days, too, on MacOS. The file is fine; going back to library and develop usually shows it. In library, I just see the gray background. For me, it's been happening for a few months -- longer than just the most recent release.

Mac users do not have to update video drivers, but it can still be a GPU issue. Go to Preferences - Performance and disable the use of the Graphics Processor.
