Lightroom Classic 8.0: Adding a new page in the Book module disappears when I leave the book module

Book module is not accepting edits. When I add a new page, leave the book module and return, the new page is gone.

Is this recent behavior or has it been happening a while?

Have you restarted Lightroom?
Have you restarted your computer?
Have  you reset your preferences?

It is recent behavior that started with the upgrade to V8.0. I  reopened a book I had been working on in a previous version where it was fine. Then saw the problem.
I have:
Restarted LR numerous times.
Restarted the computer numerous times.
What preference setting should I reset?

A Preference File will survive a Lightroom uninstall/reinstall. Sometimes weird behavior is corrected/cured by resetting the preferences. 

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom. 
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.

Does the behavior continue after resetting the preferences?

Tried it.
Reinstalled V8.0.
Followed your instruction to reset preferences.
Went to the Book Module.
Added 2 new pages to a book I have been working on.
Added content to the pages.
Went to Develop module then back to book module and my new pages disappeared.

Updates to the Lightroom CC Ecosystem and Lightroom Classic CC were released earlier today. Please update your software and let us know if you are still experiencing this issue.

My problem was because I had changed the book  to a pdf to be able to get it to blurb.   Did NOT need to do that - my mistake - tho someone on the internet had said do it.
