I am in the middle of creating a photoblog of a recent trip.  I have been checking to make sure all of the GPS coordinates got recorded correctly by my camera.  In the middle of doing this work I upgraded my MacBook pro from the Sierra macOS to High Sierra.  The map was working before the upgrade.  Now its impossible to work with almost.  I can click drag the map most of the time.  When I want to change the location Command+click doesn't work most of the time. When I click on the GPS symbol on the picture thumbnail it's supposed to take me to the map module and bring up the location the photo was shot, but most of the time it doesn't do anything.

I have similar problems. Often the map freezes and LR has to be relaunched. Double clicking on a picture doesn't lead to right location.

Same here. Happens both to Classic and the older Non-classic version. I'm geotagging images and this is hell. If I change modules it works for a minute and then freezes again. MBP late 2013, 16GB RAM

It won't make the map work, but for georeferencing you could use Jeffrey Friedl's plugin. I really like it, and you can use Google Earth (and other means) to georeference your photos.
