Lightroom Classic CC: Crop being reset to default

I have several collections I had already edited. As of a couple of days ago when I go into develop mode in a collection, all my crops revert to default. None of the other edits are reset. Does anyone know what is going on?

Take one of those reverted photos into Develop and look at the History panel in the left column. Is the last entry a Reset Crop or Crop Rectangle?

If so, perhaps you had Auto Sync turned when you reset the crop of one photo, which would reset the crop of all the other selected photos?

I don't see an auto sync option - See attached. I'm running LR 8.2.

My history looks like the attached image, the entry titled "Multiple Settings" is the one that resets the crop.

"I don't see an auto sync option"

The Sync / Auto Sync toggle and button will only appear (as in my screenshot above) when you have more than one photo selected in the filmstrip.  Select multiple photos and then see if Auto Sync is turned on.

'the entry titled "Multiple Settings" is the one that resets the crop.'

That entry could have been created by doing an Auto Sync, a Sync, or Copy and Paste Settings, where you had more photos selected than intended.

It's most likely way too late to do an Undo.  You could go to each photo's History in turn and click on the item before Multiple Settings.  Or restore your catalog from backup, if you haven't done much work after the Multiple Settings appeared.

Its not something I did, there is a setting in LR that is still causing it to happen the moment I select an existing collection. I can see the crop resetting even before I enter develop mode.
If I go through each photo and select the item before multiple settings the problem does not re-occur if I select that collection.
