I would like to report what I consider to be a serious bug in Lightroom Classic CC Version 8.4.1, it was in the last version and it remains in thi version.
I have recently transitioned from a PC to iMac running the latest version of Mojave 10.14.6.
I have always found it very convenient to use the "Send To" command when wanting to import images into Lr. It worked for me every time on the PC.
I have created a similar "Send To Lightroom" command through the Services menu. See screenshot below.

When I use this command on the iMac with Lr open, it does not import the images, I am stuck with the screen shown below, with no way forward, the images in this view are what were being displayed in Lr prior to using the "Send To Lightroom" command.

The way forward is to quit Lr, then the "Send To Lightroom" Services command will function.

Hmmm...I could be wrong, but I don't know that using "Send to" was ever an official method for getting images into Lr, so I'm not sure how it would be considered a bug, serious or otherwise.

There has never been a default Send To command with LR. If you had that it was something the You Added.
As for Mac OS X I have no idea where you would put in a command like the Send To popup menu option in Windows
