I mistakenly updated to Lightroom Classic 9 from8.4.1, as I thought it was just an update for 8.4.1 to 8.4.2 or something, sinceit never mentioned it would be version 9- I would have waited for 9.01 or 9.02.First, I had to wait a while for catalog to update before I could use the program, losing valuable work time.

Next, the right hand sidecar seems to switched aroundApply During Import and File Handing- can’t be 100% sure exactly what changedas I am using new version. But, previously with both open, I could see DevelopSettings, Metadata & Keywords, as well as File Handing options all at once, but now when I click Add to Collection, seeing all the choices from my long listof catalogs pushes other option down off the screen, and I have to scroll way down.Previously, I could select all my settings, and if I checked that box, listwent off the page, but since it kept the preference from previous imports, Idid not have to scroll to see it. But in any case, I could see all the otheroptions above, in one place, without losing ability to have Apply During Importfall off the bottom of the screen... Would be great if you put the options backthe way they were, with the important ones on top, not some on top, some belowthat can end up way below...

There were no changes in the layout of the Import dialog going from Lightroom Classic 8.4.1 to 9.0.

You might try right-clicking on a Panel Header and toggling on and off Solo mode to see if it works like you remember.

Hi Rikk,

Interesting- wonder why I feel like it behaved differently?

I tried turning on Solo mode, and that helps somewhat, but I am pretty sure I did not have it enabled under 8.4 & prior versions. Going forward, I will use Solo, so I can work in Apply During Import, then click to open File Handling if necessary, which will make it easier. Thanks Rikk.
