Lightroom Classic 8.4.1 Panorama Bug

I just ran into a new problem when creating a non HDR Panorama with stacked images. When I have a set of bracketed stacked images in the Grid mode, I select the top images and go to the menu Photo/Photomerge/Panorama. The problem is Lightroom skips the dialog box and creates separate files from the selection. If you select two , it will create two more images with the Projection mode applied to them individually. It will not create a combined single panorama image. davidg36166309 just helped me find out than when I unstacked the images and created the Pano with the same files while not in a Stack, it successfully goes to the Panorama window and creates a combined panoramic image.

I have a different Panorama issue that may be connected. For me, if I enter LR Classic 8.4.1 and do things, whatever, and then attempt a Panorama merge it just ignores me. I have to exit LR and restart the app and then do the Panorama merge first, then it works.

I noticed that you have to expand the stacks, then scroll around to select the top images of each stack, then it works as intended. Have you tried that?

No but my images generally are not in stacks, for better or worse this is not something I use very often.

I just tried opening the stacks and choosing the top images and that seems to work as well.

Hi Armando,

This is expected behavior.
With 8.4, We've added Batch Merge where in user can create stacks and start batch merge operation on all the stacks in a single operation.

Thanks,

That's not the problem. I used to be able to select each stack, while collapsed, and and create a non-hdr panorama. Now, I must expand the stack and have the top image of each stack selected for the task to run properly.
