Hi,

In LR version 7.3.1, I'm still unable to manage (at least rename) my preset folders.

Also, after installation, I noticed a lot of duplicated (or triplicated) presets, some being moved and renamed by prefixing them with the name of the folder they were stored in. The mess continues.

I cannot create a new folder (group ?) without creating a new preset. So far for the preset management capabilities. The Presets panel is missing a Create Group... (or Create Folder...) command.

Adobe, to which exotic offshore company are you subcontracting the coding of LR ?

7.3.1 was a hot fix release to fix the biggest bugs, but the rest is still a work in progress. (Between us, I think they bit off more than they could chew. The team are really enthusiastic, and a little overly optimistic at times.)

Hi Victoria,

They might be enthusiastic but they are unorganized (understatement). There's an obvious project management issue. The version 7.3 bugs should have never appeared to the user if they had a real quality assurance process. But as I already stated elsewhere, they have decided that we are the QA dpt. That is, the cost of quality has been transferred to the customers. They don't care about the huge amount of time lost by their customers. They are just focusing on the time and costs they have (apparently) spared by not doing their job correctly. And I continue to think that the subscription model is encouraging this bad practice.

This is not a very smart approach since they have to spend time fixing the bugs anyway. But they do that in a hurry, which is always a bad thing. Version 7.3 was not urgently needed. They should have taken enough time to test it properly. This would have been good both for us and for them. As a former software engineer, I never expect a 100% bug free product. This doesn't exist. But too often, they release code that has not even been merely functionally checked : otherwise, they would immediately see that something is wrong.

Or are they knowingly releasing buggy code that will cause a lot of trouble for their customers ?
