I upgraded to High Sierra 10.13.2, and the latest version of LR Classing (7.1). Now LR crashes multiple times each hour. WAY WORSE THEN EVER BEFORE. ALMOST UNUSABLE. ADOBE, what is your problem with delivering quality software?Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Lightroom 2015.7+: Panels and filmstrip black when switching to Develop.

I was having similar issues with LR crashing, for me it happened most often when importing new photos.  While frustrated and troublehsooting, I found that it happened if I had PS open.  It's ridiculous that I have to close photoshop (and consequently any projects I was working on) in order to have LR import without crashing!

Hi Andy,

Is Lightroom crashing randomly or a specific workflow? Did you submit the crash with your mail address ?
Please add the crash log window messages which will help us to investigate further.

Hi Andy,

Did you submit the crash report along with a correspondence email in the crash reporter dialog that comes up after Lr Classic crashes? If not, please do so to help us debug this issue.
If you can share the steps to reproduce this crash, that will be of great help.

I was submitting crash reports, but in the crash report there was a box to stop the crash pop up and send the report automatically. At some point I checked that, and now I'm not sure if LR is sending crash reports or not. Is  there a way to turn this off and go back to manually sending in the reports? It's a pain, but at least I feel like I'm doing something and maybe can give more clues as to what's happening.

It happens whether i have PS open or not.

It continues to crash, multiple times per hour, sometimes multiple times per minute. It is after a click, but sees random as to what I click. I think it's mostly in the Develop module.

I upgraded to  macos 10.13.3 a while ago, but the crashes have not stopped at all.

VERY, VERY, FRUSTRATING.

Hi Andy,

I searched the submitted crash reports with your registered email address and was able to find the crash logs sent by you.
This crash has already been reported and we are working on the fix. If you can spot a definite sequence of steps which leads to this crash, it could help us in reproducing and debugging this crash.

Thanks
Satish

Hi Satish,

The last two crashes happened when I was trying to convert 4 photos into a panomara.  I cannot speak for the previous ones.

LR just crashed again. I was fiddling with saturation in HSL panel. Seems to always happen when I click or move a slider in the Develop module.

Hi Andy, can you confirm whether you're using 7.1 or if this is still happening with 7.2 which was released yesterday?
