Lightroom CC - video caches not getting cleared / purged

I am on MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) 10.10.3 and Lightroom CC (updated version)
This problem was noticed in my separate catalogue for mp4 files
Each time i add new mp4s in the catalogue or view them
it started decreasing my disk space on the laptop
the more i played around with mp4s, the more disk space was getting used
in matter of hours, it came down to just 300 mb from available 140 gb
In my file handling preferences, i have the limit set to only 1 gb
I checked and realised the caches were not getting cleared, even after quitting LR and restarting the computer
then i used the 'purge cache' option in LR preferences and all got cleared and i regained some 140 gb space

but again, each time i played mp4s, same thing would happen, eating up computer disk space
and each time i have to manually purge the caches

I guess a bug related to mp4 files video caches?

and I'd like to mention that my computer had stop working because available space had come down to about 300mb only and the ever helpful Apple customer care diagnosed this issue and before putting it on Adobe, they even made me do a fresh re-install of the operating system to isolate the problem of running out of disk space

Now Adobe, please respond
