I have the same problem also. Lots of cloud storage, syncs from mobile but not from desktop. I deleted all of the photos that were supposedly syncing but it still perpetually tries to sync 9 photos. I tried resetting preference and that didn't help either.Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Lightroom CC: Desktop not syncing with the cloud.

Thomas,

Let's investigate a little more:

If you view your images in a grid and then click the small funnel icon top center and set the Sync Status pulldown to "Syncing" do you see any images?  If so, what type of images do you see?

It says no photos syncing on the blank screen. When I click on the cloud icon it still says 9 photos syncing.

Hi Rikk! I'm having the exact same issue as Thomas. My Lightroom CC Desktop app perpetually says "syncing 24 photos" but when I check the filter and "syncing" it says "no photos matching filter".

Hi Rikk, it lasted for about three days. I got permission this morning to do a reinstall and now everything has synced! Thank you for responding though!

Would love help with this as well. I have plenty of cloud storage (only using 10% of 1TB). Everything is uploading perfectly from my Lightroom CC app to lightroom.adobe.com. But nothing is downloading to my laptop anymore, and my synced Collections are no longer uploading. This has been going on two months. Nothing is showing up in Sync Activity. I've signed out and in on both mobile and my desktop more times than I can count. I've reset Lightroom CC Preferences. I've spent hours doing literally everything in all of these support threads, and still no luck. Help!

If you click the Cloud Icon in the upper right on your laptop and take a picture and post it here. That would help.

Do you have any firewall software on your laptop that might interfere with Lightroom?

Additionally, please go to Help>System Info... and get us your installed Lightroom version number.

Thanks.

Lightroom Classic version: 8.2.1

No firewall.

I'm not seeing a cloud icon anywhere - only the Creative Cloud icon. Is that the issue?

That would explain it.

You are using Lightroom Classic (8.2.1). This thread is about Lightroom CC-which is a completely different product.

Lightroom Classic can only sync one Catalog at a time with the cloud. Your catalog on your desktop (presumably Classic) holds the keys to the kingdom wrt syncing. You cannot access the same synced information from Lightroom Classic on two different devices.

Your Laptop can only access this synced information by using Lightroom CC (Currently 2.2.1) or Lightroom for web.

Hi Rikk, I have the same issue as well, the pics stopped to synchronise. I have deleted and loaded them again, but wouldn't help. Have 1T and the latest version. The synchs is hanging since 2 days.
Have tage latest 2.2.1 version of Lightroom CC.
Uninstall / Reinstall Lightroom wouldn't help either.
Thanks for your help which sis badly needed.
Cheers

Lightroom Desktop 2.3 was released earlier today. Please install it and see if your sync recovers.

Hi,
I am having the same problems listed above. The syncing has been stuck for over a day. I have tried to delete and reupload my images, uninstall and reinstall lightroom, log in and out and alt+shift but to no avail. I have no firewalls interfering with lightroom either. My lightroom version number is lightroom 3.0.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Check online by logging into your Adobe ID at lightoom.adobe.com and checking for thumbnails that have instructions on them instead of a picture.

You may find a Sync Issues collection (upper left) that offers clues as well.  My guess is you have a file in your trash that is holding things up. If you don't need the 800 images in trash for any reason, consider purging them rather than let them run to 60 days.

Hi Rikk,

I have the same issues. Specifically. My images are continuously trying to sync from Desktop. I'm using lightroom CC. I have plenty of cloud storage remaining. I have no firewall.

Steps I've followed:
Deleting ALL photos with sync Issues
Deleting all items in "Deleted" folder using lightroom web
Reinstalling Lightroom
Login/Log out

I'm using Lightoom version Lightroom version: 3.0 [ 20191017-0835-b386176 ] (Oct 17 2019)

Hi Sachee,

I solved the problem for myself by uninstalling Lightroom, logging out of the cloud, logging back in and then reinstalling. I did uninstall and remain logged out for at least 12 hours though.
Also, I noticed on creative cloud in the top right it can show syncing issues there too so perhaps check that out.

Hope this helps you.

I have used less than 60GB of my 1TB, and my syncing has hanged.  Says syncing 119 photos for the past hour (now almost 2!).  I have v3.1, which is the latest.  Pleas help, Xmas photos need to be sent out!

Same issue. I assume adobe has issues with their cloud service. Logging in and out doesn’t help.

No issues on our end are reported in the past week.  Has your sync caught up?

I am seeing similar behavior. Lightroom version 3.1 (20191126-2330-434c343). When I open Lightroom on my MacBook, if I immediately click on the cloud icon in the upper right corner, it shows I have used 883GB of my available 2TB of storage. Within just a few seconds of opening the application, it will sync between 15-20 photos and then it totally stops sending data to the cloud storage. Then if I click on the cloud icon again, it shows that it's unable to connect to network, but the blue circle continues to spin where it says Syncing Photos. If I close Lightroom, wait about 15 seconds, and re-launch the application, another 15-20 photos will sync immediately and then stop. Interestingly, the drive activity lights on my Synology NAS continue to show activity as long as Lightroom is open - for literally days, without stopping. Within a few seconds of closing Lightroom, the drive activity lights stop flashing.

Another curiosity: the first approximately 12k photos synced up without any issues. No pauses or stopping until I reached about 12k images. After that point is when I began seeing this strange sync-a-few-and-stop behavior.

When I login to Lightroom.adobe.com in my browser, I see the remaining 128k images showing sync errors with a message that tells me to open Lightroom on my MacBook (even if it is open). I can close Lightroom, re-open it a few seconds later, get another 20 images synced up, refresh the browser, and see the count updated and another 20 images removed from the sync errors count.

Nothing has changed on my network at all. I'm using a wired Ethernet connection to the switch. Upload speeds are consistently testing out at 25mbps. I've closed all the other applications on this MacBook and have literally been trying to get my entire catalog migrated from Classic to CC and then synced up for about 3 weeks in a "dedicated" fashion - meaning that I'm not using the computer for any other purposes.

I have tried uninstalling Lightroom, resetting preferences, logging out of Creative Cloud, rebooting, etc... Same results no matter what I do at this point. And again, over 12k photos synced up consistently without pausing before this stalling began happening. Any information would be tremendously helpful.

I'm having the same issue. It synched around 1100 images but there are 746 remaining images that the cloud icon on the top right of Lightroom CC says that it's syncing but I waited 1 day and nothing change. I tried resetting my Mac, closing and re-opening Lightroom and nothing happened. I checked on lightroom.adobe.com and it shows that there are 1100 images on the cloud. Any way to reset the connection to the cloud?

Do you have any images on your Desktop that haven't synced up yet? Or is this all traffic syncing down?

I've been uploading images since that moment I posted my message here. But it never ends. Now I have 1100+ images on the lightroom.adobe.com but in Lightroom CC desktop it keeps saying that I have 1700+ images to be synced.

It sounds as if the numbers continue to move then? You reported 746 on the cloud icon earlier and now you have 1700 images to sync - correct?

That sounds to me like you have a lot of sync traffic to resolve. I would be more concerned if the number quits changing and stays stuck for a long period of time (hours without moving).  As it sounds now, if the above is correct, you will need to allow it to complete its sync.

I'll keep an eye on it to confirm but the numbers increased when I imported more images and then it got stuck for almost 2 days so far.
