Lightroom CC: Trial expired - can't return to my Lightroom 6 version

I bought a hard copy of Lightroom 6, installed the program on my pc, and registered it as instructed. Then a misleading update to Lightroom Classic CC version (which was only a 7-days trial!) was initiated and now that it has been expired, I cannot return to the version 6, which I bought. I tried to follow the steps for reverting to 6, but there was no option for me to add my serial number because "no subscription was found"!! PLEASE HELP because this is utterly frustrating!!!!

Sounds like you might be trying to serialize Lightroom Classic CC.

You likely need to install Lightroom 6 from here:
