Lightroom CC: Stuck Sync issue

I am also stuck in Sync mode. Have successfully synced 14,450 photos and app (installed on Macbook Air) is stuck at syncing 5 photos.

Steps already attempted:
1. alt+ click on cloud = no photos revealed
2. reset preferences
3. uninstalled and reinstalled app (today — version is 1.5)

Still stuck at 5. Please advise next step to diagnose issue. Thank you! Note: This conversation was created from a reply on: Lightroom CC: Stuck in Sync mode.

Isahrai,

I have moved your post to its own thread.

If you login with your Adobe ID to http://lightroom.adobe.com and view your total synced photos what is the count?
What is the count of total photos in your Lightroom CC desktop app?

If you set the Filter to show Sync Status

And look at the photos showing as Syncing, is there anything unusual or common about them?

Hi I have the same issue. LIke Isahrai I also tried all the steps and doest work.
My ADOBE LIGHTROOM WEBSITE: All photo: 2843, Sync issue: 55.
On my lightroom CC desktop, sync status filter shows nothing.

HOWEVER, the specific album I am syncing as 697 photos in it, and it can only sync 682 to the cloud. And my Lightroom Classic CC ( where i Import and edit my photos) is stuck at syncing 13 photos.

If i pause and restart syncing again, It'll go up to syncing 67, then quickly jump back to 1, and jump back up to 13....

Please solve this asap, this problem is really frustrating.

This really is not good, When are you going to fix this issue. It's ridiculous in this day and age of cloud computing. It's putting me off what would/should be a good product

What is happening here? I've literally spent weeks now syncing 52K photos and I just added ~135 more and it's completely stuck. I've tried every option in every thread on this topic, reset my preferences, rebooted, yada yada, and nothing at all is working. I'm completely unable to add any new photos. I am now at a complete standstill. What is being done to fix this?
I still don't have a resolution. 5 photos have been "still syncing" for months. I try to ignore it but it is very frustrating I have 18,000 photos synced - and I synced them using very slow internet in the mountains of Mexico I do not want to have to delete everything and start over! I've tried every other option I could find. I keep hoping there will be a patch update to fix this issue or further guidance.

Please install the 2.1.1 update which was released earlier today, restart your computer and then relaunch Lightroom CC and let it sit idle for 1 hour. Let us know if the image count hasn't changed.  Thanks for your patience!

Thank you for the quick reply, Rikk! Neither Adobe CC manager or Lightroom CC are informing me of an available update. Is there another method to obtain the update? Thanks!

Ah, I checked the three dots on the Adobe CC app to force-check for available updates. It's working! Thank you so much for the rapid turn-around on this issue!!!

For those of you on this thread who are seeing no syncing from Lightroom CC 2.1.1 (December Update), you may need to check the firewall settings on your local machine or network to ensure that Lightroom has unfettered access to the internet.

If you or your IT has done this and you still cannot sync, please leave a comment beneath this one.

Hi. I already did everything suggested here with no success. Can't get LR to sync an album. Maybe is an Adobe server problem???

Is this a single album that won't sync - or is it nothing will sync.

Some step by step of what you have done and what you are seeing would help.

I have been dealing with similar issues. It was stuck syncing 174 photos forever. I used the filter function to show photos with the "Syncing" status. Then I clicked to zoom in on one of the photos. This forced LR to *actually* sync the photo, which then made it disappear from the filter results, which caused the next photo to get selected and also zoomed in to 100%, which triggered that photo to actually sync. This process repeated over and over automatically to finally sync all 174 photos.

However, this did not actual complete the syncing process, as the cloud icon still showed it was syncing files. It didn't say "Syncing ### Photos", it just said "Syncing Photos" or something like that. So I checked the filters again and noticed there was an option for sync status "Errors". I deleted and re-imported the error photos (only about 5 of them). Then these synced without issue and now nothing showed up with the "Syncing" status or "Error" status, so it appeared everything was synced. The cloud icon still said "Syncing Photos" though, not sure why, and Task Manager showed something downloading at 100% bandwidth. But after maybe 15 minutes the cloud icon *finally* says "Synced and Backed Up".

I had all of these issues as well with the latest version of Lightroom. Hours spent chatting and sending logs to a half dozen Adobe support staff through the Adobe forum. Signed out, in, reset, reinstalled, firewall on, off, etc. No resolution.

I'd actually given up in February after about two months of trying this, but having stumbled across this forum and thread I thought I'd give it another shot with the latest of everything last week.

Today, out of 85,000 photos, 70,000 synced in the first eight-ten hours very nicely. I could select either of the sync status filters and get a nice little count of how many had synced (or not) out of the total number of photos. However, as it crossed the 60,000 it got stuck with 14,000 unsynced. I cannot get the syncing filters to work at all -- the blue circle just spins endlessly. I can see how many are unsynced if I click quickly on the cloud icon in the upper right just as the program starts, otherwise, it will not show there either. Over the last seven days, maybe 500 photos have come through. At this rate it should be about 28 weeks/seven months for the rest of my library to sync. Not good.

Any ideas?

Brian Jonson,

Can you update your status today? Where is your sync now?

Still waiting on the last 13,000 photos. I'm syncing about 700 per week, so we're looking at about 4 months to complete a sync. That means it will have taken about one year to complete one sync. Roughly around the time I'll have to decide to renew or not.

Brian,

I reviewed your situation with one of our engineers and he is requesting the following:

1. Generate and send a diagnostic log that includes a minimum of 30 minutes of slow syncing.  (Preferences>General and hold down the [Opt/Alt] button and click to get the log.

Any Task Manager/Activity Monitor information you can provide regarding Network and CPU usage at the time of the log.
