I was excited to get this new version of lightroom CC and upload my photos to the cloud. Little did I know what a can of worms I was opening as I ran into tremendous difficulty uploading my 15,000 photo files and now have still not solved my problems with getting my catalog from lightroom 5 synced up with Lightroom CC since the format is different and it might not work, which means that I will lose all of my data for my 15,000 photos. The technical support people have spent about four hours with me so far but still it's not solved because of a "glitch" with migrating the catalog, and they will try again with me later today. It was a bad idea to jump into this on the first day because I fear that the software is not ready for prime time and now I'm one of the guinea pigs who they are working out the problems with. I think Adobe could have done much better to initially provide some guidance and instructions for how to make this move for people who already have a big store of photos and a catalog along with it because at the beginning I was completely in the dark and it simply did not work without extensive help from support. Now I'm not sure if it was worth it at all considering the amount of time I've had to spend on this and still do not have it up and running. What I had with lightroom 5 was working perfectly – and now I'm wondering why even bothered. Hopefully my view of this will change once I get all of this to work, if I can... If not, then I don't know what I will do.
