Lightroom CC not detecting Nikon D5300 with tethered capture

Lightroom CC 2015.6.1 for Windows (Windows 10 Home 64-bit) will not detect the camera (Nikon D5300, fully updated) when attempting a Tethered Capture.  Importing photos from the Import dialog is no problem, unless I attempt to do a Tethered Capture first, then the camera is not detected for import either.  I have done everything suggested by the knowledge base page.  I have had three very long interactions with Adobe support, two of which that they took control of the PC and attempted to troubleshoot the problem.  Nothing has worked.  I even went so far as to wipe the computer completely, installed Windows from scratch, downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud, installed Lightroom, plugged in the camera, launched Lightroom, and attempted a tethered capture.  Camera was not detected, no change at all.  I'm at my wit's end here.  Other programs worked with the Nikon D5300 right out of the box as they say.  Why will Lightroom not do this simple thing that even freeware will!?!

I am in the same boat. Numerous conversations and tech support calls with Adobe, but to no avail. Very frustrating. I am currently using digicamcontrol and that works well, BUT it is not Lightroom.

Hi Kevin and Nick,I am a developer in the Lightroom team.

Our Quality Engineering team has tested Nikon D5300 for tethered capture on Lightroom CC 20015.7 and did not find any issue.

Upgrading to the latest version of Lightroom (CC 20015.7) should fix the issue you are facing.

FINALLY!  2015.7 did fix the issue.  What was the issue?  Why was Lightroom not seeing the camera before?  Other programs were, why not Lightroom?    I am glad you guys fixed this issue.  Now I can use my camera tethered without using a third party program!
