Only one point for now, why can I not sort the pictures on filename in the folders. This is for me important!

Thanks for the great suggestion. I will change your post to an Idea so it gets logged as a feature request.

In the meantime consider giving the new update for Lightroom Classic CC a try. It has all the features you are familiar with and then some.

Cheers!

Still unable to sort photos by Filename. This is absolutely critical as scanned images have the incorrect capture date. Additionally when you copy to a new computer you get a whole new created date although the modified date is correct for digital images but NOT for scanned images. I have spent a considerable amount of time using batch processing to get the correct Filenames with correct dates, etc. IT IS CRITICAL TO ADD TO THE SELECTION AT THE BOTTOM THE ABILITY TO SORT BY FILENAME IN ADDITION TO JUST USING THE EXIF CREATED, MODIFIED AND ACCESSED DATE. PLEASE FIX THIS.

I agree with you. I do not use LR CC for this reason anymore!
Hopefully, Adobe will finally work on our ideas!

The only thing that seems to remain immutable (unless purposely changed by the user which is a good feature) is the file name. It is in exif and so is “created” and “modified” both of which change. I do NOT trust Adobe to continue LR classic but expect them to phase it out. I have used the wonderful batch renaming in Photoshop and LR import for years and ONLY filename remains unchanged and reliable. All we need is filename in the sort list of LR CC to fix this problem and they do not seem responsive. I don’t care about accessed. PLEASE LET US HAVE FILENAME BACK SO WE CAN SORT ALL THOSE SCANNED IMAGES FROM BEFORE 2003 and have ABSOLUTE certainty.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Filename Sort.

Only sorts by Created Modified or Accessed. MUST SORT BY FILENAME.
