Lightroom CC: Mobile syncs but desktop app doesn't

Hi, I'm having the same problem only my cloud storage isn't close to being full. Just spins and doesn't sync on my desktop. Mobile syncs just fine.

Desktop images don't sync to the cloud or just edits and metadata for images doesn't sync? 

If you are in a Grid view and click on the funnel icon in the top center and set Sync Status: to Syncing, what do you see?

Hello! I am having the same problem as the gentleman above. I had only been using the program fro a couple of weeks, it was working beautifully, now it is perpetually syncing "wheel of death" I have uninstalled and reinstalled, logged out and logged in. When i click the funnel icon, it shows no data when I choose Syncing. This has been going on for a couple of weeks, I am at a loss! Please help!

I am having this issue too - when I try to upload photos from my files it just continually says its syncing. First attempted over 10 days ago and I am still unable to sync them, even when I tried adding fewer at a time, that didn't resolve it. Please advise how to fix this. Got more than enough cloud space, so not a storage issue.

@Jenny Peers-Jones  Can you please go to Help>System Info... and get your installed Lightroom version number and paste it in your reply?

Updates to the Lightroom CC Ecosystem and Lightroom Classic CC were released earlier today. Please update your software and let us know if you are still experiencing this issue.

Rikk, none of my photos are syncing on the desktop app. I have over 90 photos on my mobile app but cannot see anything once I load my desktop app. The desktop app says I am "offline" but I am connected to the internet and pulling over 400MBps. Any idea what the issue is?

Hi All, i am having the same issue - i added 278 photos in late December. They are still shown as 'syncing' and i cannot see them when i log in online. 
I have tried the reset preferences shown about but no change

You added them via the Lightroom CC for desktop application or the Lightroom for Mobile (iOS and Android) app?

Thanks. If you click the cloud icon (top right) what is your syncing status?

Grab a screenshot and post it if possible.

It just says the number of photos that are syncing, the syncing symbol moves round, but the number never changes. Basically it says it’s syncing but doesn’t do anything.

I am away from my laptop until Thursday now, so will screenshot when I can

Hi Rikk, I have a problem which are you describe on TOP...
On Ligtroom mobile CC I have a photos sync between two mobile phones with out any problems..in my mac it worked with out problem but now or one week im on my Mac out of game, I dont have any folders, any phoptos in Lightroom CC,  still blue spin but in rigth corner i have a information that all is sync..my cloud space is ok I use only 20%, I tried log out and log in / clear preferences / unistall and new instalation but the result is clear Lighroom CC on Mac with blue spin :-( can you help me with any advice?

Hi Rikk,
Lightroom CC on my desktop does not sync newly imported photos anymore. It does sync photos from my mobile and any changes made to previously edited photos. I have tried deleting and re-importing photos several times but without success. I am using Lightroom CC version 2.2 and Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.4. Any advise? Thanks

Still on the trial, but my confidence is dropping suddenly. I have the same issue, and the debugging or support options are very, very limited.

There was an outage yesterday that caused a sync issue for some users. Let me know if you are still seeing sync issues after restarting.

Hi Rikk,
besides the outage, I am trying to sync my cloud stored data since several weeks on my NAS (Synology), connected via Gigabit Ethernet. in the beginning it works fine but after 10.000 pictures and movies its not going further (I have about 35.000) and plenty of storage. LR freezes, have to start again then additional 2-3 pictures are synced, that's it. Also I can't use LR since then (open pictures, look into people etc.), when I disconnect the NAS I can work, but not sync. Dont understand why this is not a background task and does LR really look up local backuped NAS Data when I work on data (should only be a backup?). Its frustrating, as this would be the major advantage of the solution?? Any Idea?

Hi, I have just installed lightroom cc and migrated my catalogue from classic which is about 6000+ photos.

So far in the last 24 hours it seems to upload a few photos to the cloud and then sticks on that number. When I filter the synced photos its shows 60 photos.

My internet connection is fine and I have even connected to gigabit ethernet and getting speeds of 10mbps.

Would very much appreciate your help on this so I can start to use the cloud photos on another computer.

I have have attached an image of my sync window.

A few questions:

  1. Restarted the App?
  2. Restarted your Computer?
  3. If you go to www.speedtest.net, what is your upload speed?
  4. Do you have a NAS involved?
  5. If you go to Help>System Info... what is your installed Lightroom version number?

Same here, on two desktop computers. Syncing indicator never stops (although files are synced).

Please install the 2.4.1 update and let us know if you are still seeing the issue.
