Lightroom mobile (iOS): Crashing after 3.3.1 update

Since the most recent update this week (3.3.1 FB 4961)Lightroom CC is extremely slow and crashes frequently on both my 2018 iPad and my iPhone 6s. Both devices have latest IOS updates. This happens when changing profiles, editing tone curve, and just swiping through images. Everything is synced with the cloud. Anyone else having issues? Lightroom is currently unusable for me.

@Michael, when the app crashes does the particular image you've currently selected have have severe editing applied? I am talking about big slider movements in places like Dehaze or Shadow/Highlights.  Will it crash on an unedited image?

@Michael, which client did you use when you deleted the 18K presets originally?

Rikk, I couldn’t find a way in either the desktop or mobile UI to delete presets more than one at a time so I opened the catalog file, deleted every file in cr_settings, then restarted Lightroom CC desktop. That cleared all the presets out there. The local removal doesn’t appear to be removing them from the cloud.

In the Lightroom CC interface you should be able to to right-click on any preset group (not the default shipping presets) and choose Delete or Delete Group... appropriately.  Then allow that deletion to sync to the cloud and then to propogate to your mobile environments.

Hmm, I didn’t see that option in the right click menu on the User group where all the presets were. I could disable but not delete it. As things stand now, the User presets group is not present in presets since my manual cleanup attempt. I’m not sure what to try next.

The problem seems to be resolved now. I had over 18,000 presets after importing them from Lightroom Classic to CC on my MacBook. I had a few VSCO packages and a couple others - had no idea there were that many individual preset files. I don't know if something went wrong in the import but I ended up with thousands of cryptically named presets that were pretty much useless without the original names. I didn't notice this until after the crashes started. Since the presets weren't doing me any good, I opted to delete the entire User preset group. This took a really long time and after it was done I uninstalled/reinstalled the Lightroom CC mobile app on my iPad and iPhone to get back to a fresh state. Since then I haven't seen a crash.

Racheal, you need to delete the preset from within Lightroom CC. Deleting them directly from the file system will cause problems. I right-clicked the User collection under Presets and deleted all of them.
