Lightroom CC - Link Distortion Correction to a Sharpening Filter

Some of my lenses have quite a bit of distortion. Often that is automatically corrected through profiles. Other times I use guides or rotation to straighten images.

All these manipulations will create new pixels by blending existing data. This reduces sharpness. Usually, corners suffer the most—and they are commonly the least sharp parts of a shot to being with.

I think it would be nice if there was a sharpening filter in place to compensate for this.

Standard sharpening won't do—it will often make the center very sharp, and still leave edges blurred. I imagine the radius of the filter should be scale with the amount of distortion done for best results.

I can get somewhere by adding a radial adjustment filter, but that won't let me control the radius. I also feel like this is something that could probably be done better by the machine.
