Lightroom CC keyword export

As long as Lightroom CC is unable to export keywords with shared or exported images, it's basically useless. I'm so disappointed of this "feature" as being able to export the keywords is one of the most important things what I need from the software. Basically it's still Lightroom classic CC and google cloud as long as lightroom CC can handle keywords better. I hope this would be changed as soon as possible because there's so much potential in Lightroom CC but because of this little feature, it's useless to me.

Please change this "feature" Adobe!!!

I export some raw files to jpeg using "save to" since there is no "export" in CC. My keywords are exported with the image with no issues.

Did you add the keywords in lightroom cc or were them already with the file?
There is export function in mobile app and save to device to convert to jpg. Both fuctions doesn't export keywords with the image.

Good point! I actually import from my camera card using LR CC Classic because I add geotags and convert to DNG (two features I hope we see soon in CC). I then import into CC. At this point, I keep the two catalogs separate because of the recommendations I’ve heard. It’s a lot of farting around but generally just a couple of clicks in each app and let them run for a few minutes to process several hundred shots. I’m counting on this only being a temporary workflow :-) I will import/export some new images just using CC later today and let you know how it goes.

At least for me, it seems to be an issue for the mobile version but not LRCC on the desktop. I imported a photo from my camera to LRCC on my desktop (Windows 10). I added keywords in LRCC. I moved to another image and then came back to the test image, verified the keywords were there, then saved to another folder on the computer. I checked the properties and the keywords were there.

To test mobile I took a picture with my iPhone using LRCC mobile. I keyworded it, verified the keywords were saved and then just chose to copy it. No keywords were in the copy. I verified I had all options enabled in Sharing options. Jarmo, is this issue in LRCC mobile in line with your issue?

Thanks Tom. That's the same issue. Also with desktop version of LRCC but I have to check that again. Maybe I missed something.

It's one of those inconsistencies that I hope gets cleared up in due course (like watermarking). At the moment exporting from the desktop LRCC app does include keywords, both embedded within XMP before syncing from Classic (or directly importing to LRCC), or subsequently added within LRCC. But exporting/sharing from the LRCC mobile app does not include any keywords.

OK.. thanks Jim. I need to check that LRCC desktop again because last time the keywords added in LRCC didn't download with the image when synced from LRCC to LRCC classic.

That's correct.....keywords (and location data) do not sync between LRCC and LR Classic. So if you've added keywords in LRCC the only way currently to include those keywords in an exported file is to do the "Save to" (export) using the LRCC desktop app.
