Lightroom CC: Does not open after the update

Lightroom cc does not open after the update. signed out and signed in several times. Restarted the laptop several times. Its 64 bit i7 with os windows 10. All other applications are opening.

I had this problem. It opened the first time and then not at all. I had to reboot, de-install removing all settings and then reinstall and set up a new Catalogue. The option to chose a cataloogue instead of update allows you to try and repair it. This did not work for me. The back up was dead also. This is a start from scratch option if the catalogue is the problem. Just had to set up the few collections I had again as all the rest (Keywords etc.) were stored with the photos.
I copied the complete catalogue folder before I did anything so I could always go back to the old lightroom. If the catalogue has not been updated to classic I would do this so you do not lose all your work if you want to go back to the old version.

Can you confirm whether you're using the new Lightroom Classic CC? Or Lightroom CC? Do you get any error?
