Lightroom CC (cloud) Backup (backup that allows to restore deleted photos)

Currently, Adobe advertises the new Lightroom CC as backing up to the cloud. This is false, it syncs to the cloud, there is no backup. We can't restore deleted photos.
I believe that calling the current solution a backup when it can't restore deleted photos is false advertising and against Australian consumer law. If Adobe does not fix this then I will lodge a complaint with the ACCC.

Lightroom CC should provide actual backup allowing us to restore photos that have been deleted.

You might have a little trouble legally arguing the definition of backup, because there are different definitions. For example, one major dictionary says "a copy of computer data (such as a file or the contents of a hard drive)" and another says "a copy of information held on a computer that is stored separately from the computer". Lightroom does comply with those definitions. If you lost your phone or your computer hard drive died, you would be able to restore the photos from the cloud.

But I completely agree that there's a need for a trash facility, to enable restore of recently deleted photos.
