Lightroom CC changing my raw files to black and white.

When i import my Canon raw files i get a colour preview in the review window,  but once its in LR CC it turns to black and white. I know i can change it back but i shouldn't have to. I also cant find a way to do this to many photos at once, even if they are all selected.
When i view them in LR Classic or mobile i see the same thing.
Running the latest version on Windows 10, all up to date. LR CC Classic is fine.
Cant really see the point of LR CC at the moment.

1. Put the images in Grid View in the Library Module
2. Select All [CTRL]+[A]
3. Press [V] or go to the Quick Develop panel (RH side of Library) and in the Treatment pulldown set to color.

If it happens again, it means you likely are either applying a preset in your Import dialog or you have set your default editing to include a conversion to Black and White.

Check the Import dialog and in the RH column under the Apply During Import panel, make sure that the Develop Settings pulldown is set to None. If it is then you will need to go and revert the preferences for the default edit. Go to Edit>Preferences and navigate to the Presets tab. Click the [Reset all default Develop settings] button.

Thanks but I’m talking about Lightroom CC, the cloud version.

No problem. I had to go over my post a few times when i was writing it to make sure i had the “C’ and “CC” in the right places.

And it's so easy! There's LR CC and there is LR C CC. Who could ever be confused by that? :)

So it looks like its because LR CC isnt 100% compatible with my Canon 5D raw files. My 80D raw files are fine.
Shocked and amazed that this is an issue, especially when all the other Adobe products are fine with these files.
What a useless piece of software.

Which 5D, Dave? I have a 5DMKII and MKIV and Lightroom CC (and Classic) read them with no problem. Are they the normal raw, or are you using sraw, mraw or one of the Canon-specific modes like the DPraw?

It looks like we need more information. Could you post one of the offending raw files so we could take a look at it?

Sorry, I didn’t get an email notification.
Ive deleted the whole Lightroom CC folder, and replaced it with the latest version, taken from my work PC. Same result. I cant use the Adobe CC desktop app to install this as its not showing, that’s another thread though.
Canon 5DMKiV, full res, not the smaller sizes. Not using dual pixel. These import in to Classic (and mobile) just fine, and at some point it was working with the first release on LR CC. I got a few raw files of a friends 5D4 and these show the same results so i dont think posting a file will help.

Thanks.

Ok,. I think ive fixed it. I went in to LR Classic and reset the Develope defaults for the 5D4, and this seemed to fix the same for LR CC. Strange as Classic was importing fine so didn’t really need resetting, but it worked.
