Lightroom Mobile: Auto-Import feature skips photos taken in Burst mode

Hi there,
I've been using Lightroom CC for couple days and already found a bug.

When Auto-Import is turned on, photos taken in burst mode does not upload correctly to Lightroom - only the main photo is being uploaded !
Google Photos has no problem with that - simply uploads EVERY photo taken in burst mode.

iOS 12.1.2.
Lightroom CC Mobile: newest 4.1.1

Thanks for the comments Adam. We are aware of the issue and working on a solution for a future update.  Since this is not currently supported I am going to change this to an Idea so we can monitor it as a feature request.

I also think this is a very relevant feature. My cumbersome routine (iPhone) is the following: (1) Lightroom imports all photos of a day/week/vacation, (2) I'm going to delete the photos from the camera roll, (3) wait - I remember there are still some bursts in the camera roll, (4) I select the correct photos from the bursts, (5) I go back to Lightroom to auto-import them, (6) I go back to the camera roll and delete everything in it, (7) I go to Lightroom and try to remember which bursts I just edited to delete the main photo originally imported for every burst as it usually is not among the photos I wanted to keep from the burst.

Even if Lightroom CC in general does not support a burst/stacking feature across all platforms, it would be just so much better to just import all photos from the burst in the first place so that I can easily clean out my camera roll and deal with the individual burst photos later. From a workflow perspective, this would be much more straightforward.

Thanks!

This is “must have” due to limited iPhone storage. Without this issue getting fixed auto import is just useless :(

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Add burst mode shooting in RAW.

Please add RAW burst mode to the camera to allow for later stacking in Photoshop and layers “mean” processing for all it’s goodness.
