Lightroom CC and Photoshop frequently crash when importing raw files.  This has been happening for month and at least four different Windows 10 computers I've used.  I send the crash dump some of the times, so you should be able to reference my crashes.

At one point, I was getting a note that the 'problem was solved'.  Then I was linked to an article about turning off the GPU.  That did not help.  The GPU doesn't seem to be the issue and I tried that on three computers at least.

Here are the current details from LR CC:

Photoshop has been crashing since this last week, for me, all the time for no clear reason. I am not sure anybody cares at Adobe, since they keep on blaming it on the windows 10 or on your computer or they just ignore what you say or tell you that you are the first one reporting this issue... I am so sick of this! , lost many brushes I have just created in the last couple of days and color palettes I created recently and was working with... I wish I could ask someone really helpfull and knowing how to fix photoshop problems, unlike the technicians Adobe has at their support...

Well that sucks.  I might just have to use a product from a company that actually wants my business

You may need to install the most recent MS Windows update (2004) to relieve the crashing issue.
You can verify your current Windows version by hitting the start button and typing Winver
