Lightroom CC: albums and folders are not syncing

I use Lightroom CC on MacBook, on iPhone and on the web. Photos are syncing without problems ("All photos"), but Albums and Folders aren't at all.

If I create an album on the iPhone, it will be synced back to the web, but NOT to the MacBook. If I rename the created album on the iPhone, noting append on the web; and so on...

What is the problem?

Are you really using Lightroom CC on the MacBook, or are you perhaps using Lightroom Classic CC? New albums will sync as collections to Lr Classic, and end up inside the ‘From Mobile’ collection set. Folders do not sync.

On the MacBook I'm using Lightroom CC 1.5. I never used Lightroom Classic CC.

In that case everything should sync just fine. Are you sure you are logged into your account in the CC app in your menubar?

Yes, photos are syncing without problems ("All photos").

That is very strange. Because everything is stored online, you should see identical libraries on all devices. What happens if you try the other way round (create an album in Lightroom CC on the MacBook)?

The same problem. I create the album on the MacBook, it sync to the web, but not to the iPhone.And if I rename it on the MacBook, nothing happen on the web.

I am having the same problem. Using Lightroom CC on iMac, iPhone and iPad. Photos synchronise fine, but Folders and Albums do not sync.

For those who are experiencing that all of the images appear to be syncing but the respective albums do not, we need more information from you. 

If you go to Lightroom CC Preferences and go to the Account tab and hold down your [Alt/Opt] key. A button should appear saying [Full Report]. Generate the full report (it will be quite large). You will need to share this via some file sharing service (Creative Cloud shared folder or similar). Send the invitation to

@RobC and @Simon - try syncing your Lightroom CC environment how and see if the albums come in now.

I am experiencing the same issue with albums not sync'ing from my Lightroom CC desktop app (Mac) to Lightroom Mobile on iOS.  What is the fix?
