Just downloaded 6.6 and cannot import from my camera memory card. The pictures are imported but only grey squares are showing. It worked fine yesterday so something is horribly wrong. The pictures are in the folder on my drive but LR 6.6 does not display them. I tried deleting the folder and importing directly from the drive where they are stored, same thing. One or two displayed but when I tried to view them there was only a loading graphic and the picture never appeared.

Has the issue been resolved? I upgraded, unfortunately and I can't even import via external card reader or even if I copy the photos to the local drive. Is there no fix for this at all from Adobe?

Gray squares is usually a monitor profile that isn't compatible with LR.  So assign sRGB as your monitor profile instead of the one supplied by the manufacturer and see if things work any better:

It could also be that the GPU isn't quite compatible but LR cannot detect that it isn't . Try turning off Use Graphics Processor on LR / Edit / Prefs / Performance if it is on.

It's not a monitor problem if it's been working fine all along and then after the upgrade imports don't work.

Unless LR changed something in how it displays images with this update then it could be the monitor profile.

My lightroom cc edition cannot see that my version is not up to date. The adobe update installer says my version is up to date yet I'm in 2015. I had 2015.2 and somehow it reverted back to 2015 and still claims to be up to date. I have uninstalled it and re installed it and tried going through the app for updates and nothing seems to work. My adobe app installer is up to date as well.

What should I do to get to 2015.6?

Are Adobe at some point going to spend a bit of time and effort optimising LR so it runs well? Even on a high-spec machine with all the performance optimisations applied I can find, LR still crawls along, and applying selective brush edits is just a painful process. Maybe a performance focused release would be a good idea :)

My LR was awful until I deselected the 'Use Graphics Processor' option in the Settings page. If you have this ticked LR runs like a dog. Even with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

I also cannot import any images without rebooting and closing out of LR a million times.  I select all of the images and click import.  I also get "Preview unavailable for this file".  Sometimes the images come up and sometimes they do not.  When I click Import it just says "Importing files" but nothing happens.  Any one have a rollback?
