Lightroom CC 2015.2.1: Incredibly Slow 2-3 sec delay for any operation

I updated to the latest LR CC 2015.2.1 on my Win7 desktop this evening. Ever since, Lightroom is running incredibly slow. Doing literally anything in Lightroom has a 2-3 second delay. This includes scrolling from one image to the next in Library or Develop, switching from Library to Develop, adjusting Exposure, etc. It's basically unusable. This is the worst update I've gotten since subscribing to Photoshop CC & Lightoom CC over a year ago!!!

How can I go back to the previous version (which I was running yesterday), when none of these delays were apparent?

Your Un-install/re-install instructions worked perfectly! I'm back to where I was 2 days ago, running LR 6.1.1 with the speed back to "normal".

Thanks very much!

I have intermittent slowdowns since moving from LR5.7 to LRCC some weeks ago. Have not upgraded to latest versions due to rumors of crashing.

I think they must have changed development teams or done something radically different in recent development cycles. There are too many slow downs and bugs. Something is fundamentally wrong in their development process recently.

Just to clarify I think both of us are talking about the LR CC version of some months ago, not the latest one known to have crashing bugs. Something went wrong - at least for machines lacking an external GPU - in moving from 5.7 to LRCC .1.

Yes I have tried checking and unchecking my GPU box in preferences.

Unfortunately, I didn't check which version of LR CC I was using before switching - It had the new "de-haze" feature (which is really great). The only problem I had noticed was not being able to escape when previewing an unsaved slide show in the Slideshow Module. I hadn't intentionally loaded a new version for a couple months.

As for the external GPU issue, I have an external GPU, but LR CC now says it fails testing. I tried unchecking the box in preferences, to no effect.

Paul, have you tried going to your video card manufacturer's website and getting the latest driver pack? Don't rely on the Windows update as it often pulls an older driver.

This may help with your GPU not passing testing.

I had similar issues and followed the instructions and now back to normal..

i was almost about to go and update my computer thinking it was too slow!

I have a desktop with a Core I5 5th gen, 16gb 1600mhz DDR3, 256GB SSD and an old GTS450 graphics.. It was driving me crazy!

Now running 2015.1.1 version 6 and it's back to normal.

So happy, thanks!
