I have Lightroom CC 2015.10.1 and when I open the Creative Cloud desktop app it doesn't say there is an update available.

There is often a delay, to avoid getting the whole world trying to download at the same time. Just try again a little later.

Sometimes it helps to click on the gear icon at the top right of the app and select: "check for app updates"

If I was you all, I wouldn't bother updating to the newest version of Lightroom unless you have serious bugs in your version, because the folks at Adobe are notorious now for releasing versions that have a lot of bugs in them so that the rest of us can let them know, basically making us beta testers.  So I would wait a bit before updating or you could be sorry.  I haven't updated in the last couple updates due to a very horrible experience with one of their updates that was pretty bad, and I had to revert back to the previous version.  Just a fair warning......

I am so ticked off, I cant get any help from the guys!  I was stupid enough to do the update and  now none of my folders under my hard drives are showing up.  You can't right click and locate the drive or the images.  The images show to exclamation point for "locating the file" and It's going to take Adobe's LR department 48 hours to return my call.

Can anyone tell me how to revert back to the precious version???

According to Lightroom the currnet version is 2015.10. It says the latest update was released April 11, 2017. According tto the Help > Updates menu and the Creative Cloud app, there are no new updates available. I tried a link that was posted in one of the comments above, but it doesn't work. It downloads a file, but the file says, "This update does not apply to you." Is anybody getting updates?

Here's what finally worked for me.
  1. Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud using the Uninistall Adobe Creative Cloud app in the same folder.
  2. Download the Lightroom Trial Installer from Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Apps.
  3. Launch the installer after it downloads. It will install a fresh copy of the Creative Cloud app first.
  4. Next, it will ask if you want to install Lightroom, even though Lightroom is installed. This is the tricky part, because at the same time, it will start launching Lightroom.
  5. Since it can't install Lightroom while Lightroom is running, and everytime you click the button to install it, it launches Lightroom, you have to be very quick.
  6. Also, as soon as Lightroom starts launching, it takes focus away from Creative Cloud, causing it to disappear.
  7. The keep it open, click the gear icon in Creative Cloud and select Open As Window... This will keep Creative Cloud from disappearing every time it tries to launch Lightroom.
  8. Now, if you time it just right, you can Force Quit Lightroom while it's launching, and click the Install Lightroom button before it launches again.
  9. Once it downloads and installs Lightroom, Creative Cloud will tell you that an Update is available for Lightroom.
  10. Now you can install version 2015.12 from the Creative Cloud app.
  11. Simple.
