Dear Lightroom Team,

Adobe Lightroom slideshow triggers heavy flickering on 2nd display during slideshow with "blank other screens" option enabled. Condition persists after closing Lightroom until logout. Best observed with a neutral grey background on both displays.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. OSX 10.11; Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.1.1; iMac + external display
2. Select neutral grey background for both displays; close all applications
2. Open Lightroom, enter Slideshow module; select images
3. In Playback dialogue, ensure iMac display is used for display; uncheck "Blank other screens"
4. Press Play and observe normal slideshow behaviour
5. Stop slideshow; check "Blank other screens"
6. Press Play and observe heavy flickering on 2nd display
7. Stop slideshow; exit Lightroom and observe 2nd display; it should still flicker
8. Logout and log in again. Both displays show now work as expected without flickering

Expected Results:
No flickering on 2nd display under any condition

Actual Results:
Persistent flickering on 2nd display after running Lightroom slideshow with "Blank other screen" enabled. Logan out / in again clear flickering

Identical procedure did NOT expose the problem on any of my previous Mavericks / Yosemite-based setups on otherwise identical HW/SW combination.

Version:
El Capitan (15A284)

Notes:
Workaround: don't run Lightroom slideshows with "Blank other screens enabled"

Configuration:
iMac (late 2012 model), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB; 2nd display: NEC PA271W connected via Thunderbolt to Mini Display Port adapter cable; Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.1.1

Note - I believe this is an OSX problem triggered by Lightroom. I'm saying this because the flickering on the 2nd display continues after Lightroom has been properly closed. I've therefore filed this as an Apple bug report (22947464) but assume collaboration between Adobe and Apple will be necessary to resolve this.

Kind regards,

Roland Meier
