Lightroom CC 1.5 feature requests

I'm impressed at the speed of LR CC development and have decided to switch from Classic.  There are a few things that I use constantly though that I'm missing in CC.  The things I miss are mostly minor but do hinder my workflow, (apologies if they're there and I've just not found them):-

  • Shortcuts for changing Grid Size
  • Flag for photos with keywords
  • Autofill existing keywords /
  • Survey view in Grid View
  • More grid overlays, e.g. golden spiral, etc.

Looking forward to coming developments so thanks to all the developers, exciting times!

Really strange you are impressed (or maybe it is ironic?) but if LR CC speed is fast it is probably because it starts from zero function.
You are right for autofill existing keyword.

But years after first version missing :

- real tag management
- print
- real export
- offline search function
- a map
- filter by country and by town, not a mix in a list
- filter untag or with no gps data photo
- Smart folders
- Face detection
- Drag and drop
- Full sync of everything between classic and CC the time CC is implemented with everything
- I probably forgot lot of things...

And every time we complains about some lacks, there is some activists/lobbyist (generaly how sells books or online curse) that will explain we do not understand the difference beewten classic and CC and we do not use them the way it is intended.

Years? Lightroom CC's only been out for 10 months!

The requests stand, and Adobe makes the decision about what to include.  But if you ask a carpenter why your screwdriver doesn't hammer in a nail, he might point out it's not the right tool for the job.

Sorry Victoria I do respect deeply you and your opinion. I mind about some French activists how do not accept any criticism about Lr.
You are the first to explain clearly the differences between classic and CC.

BUT :

When I say years. I’m including adobe Revel. It is clear CC is a sequel of Revel.
In 10 month not be able to implement a print function. Sorry but it is a shame.
I’ve switch to CC because I’m working on 2 computers a Mac and PC + an iPhone.
Cloud is perfect for me. To create an “as build” folder with 300photos / months / building site I can’t use anymore the finder or windows explorer.
But since this I’m not able to print, not able to generate smart folders not able to manage tags all the benefits gone will switching.
And most people are explains I’m not using Lr the way it is intended.
Is it a joke? I just want to manage photos using cloud.

But thanks to adobe policy you can or manage photo without cloud functionality. Or use cloud without other functionality.

Do I am alone ?

This is a total mess.
And to continue manage photos, I need to use the while expensive package including photoshop I don’t care about to have classic + CC and a big Gap beewten the 2.

That’s crazy.

Maybe some competitor will succeed. That’s all I hope.

Once again sorry for my English

And finally, if I use CC it is because Classic 7.5 becomes totally slow either on Mac or Pc.
This way Cc is far more responsive.

So if asking a print functionality on Cc is asking a carpenter ... it is just adobe don’t care about customers whisses.

Yeah, it's a frustrating transition time. I agree we are a bit in limbo while CC catches up. I'm sure it will catch up, but it's frustrating in the meantime.

My best comparison is when photographers started moving from film to digital. We wanted the benefits of digital, but the quality wasn't there for a while, so there was this transition time where we couldn't have everything we wanted at the same time. We're in the same kind of transition time now.

I hope you are right, because at a such price , such time trying to understand with no forecast or roadmap about what will be implemented we will very disappointed
Wait and see
