Lightroom Classic: catalogue synchronization with network folders

Synchronize Lightroom CC Classic Library with Network storage.   Since the update today 29/12/2017 I have lost synchronization with my folders which are all on my network drives,  I have been OK for 2 years working like this up to and including this morning..   Online chat revealed Adobe does not support network folders,  what a ridiculous statement.  I have 2 computers and the only way it can work is on a network drive.  This needs looking into.

A slight correction: Adobe supports images being stored on network drives. It does not support the Lightroom Catalog or Preview Folders being on network drives.  A mention of whether you are Windows or Mac might start the troubleshooting process.

Please include a screenshot of Windows Explorer showing the network drives and a screen shot of the Lightroom Folders panel for one of the offending machines.
