Lightroom: "Caption contains words x" matches "xx"

The Library Filter bar criterion "Caption contains words x" incorrectly matches a photo with caption "xx". Ditto for smart collections.

Tested with LR 8.1 / Mac OS 10.13.6.

TEXT filter does not work for "#tag"

I did some testing and it does work with 'words' of a minimum length of 2 characters

Lightroom does recognize special characters but apparantly not in 'words'. When you change the search criteria to 'contains', you wil see the photo's tagged with "#tag" in your searchresults.

"TEXT filter does not work for "#tag"

When I first developed the Any Filter plugin in LR 3, I reverse-engineered all the detailed behavior of LR's text search, and at that time the rules used for determining what constituted a "word" in the Filter search box differed from the rules used for determining what's a "word" while indexing metadata fields.
