These appear to be Camera Raw Cache files. When you edit files in Lightroom, it creates Cache files for each image so that it can quickly reload the edits as you walk forward and backwards through your images.

Camera Raw can set a default location in Lightroom Classic. Do you have Lightroom Classic? You may have inadvertently set it to Desktop at some point in the past.

There is no way to set the Cache in Lightroom Desktop.

It can also be set from within Photoshop in the Camera Raw dialog.

Try quitting LR, trashing /Users/[your user]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Defaults/Preferences.xmp then reboot before reopening LR

Many thanks to Vic and Rikk, Trashed, reboot and Run LR to show nothing at desktop.
Also found inadvertently set it to Desktop : from performance.xmp

crs:NegativeCachePath2="/Users/XXXXXXXXX/Desktop"

Thanks all.
