You mean they're just grey? Probably your monitor profile - recalibrate your monitor.

every other photosop (adobe) software works fine
In lightroom the only photos I can see are videos and they are only green in colour

LR uses the monitor profile differently to most other software, so the same recommendation stands. If you want to test the theory, change the monitor profile to sRGB temporarily.

Try this: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/article...

I haven't checked it on Windows 10 yet as it's busy upgrading at the moment, but they shouldn't be far off.

It has updated or something as it is now working correctly.
I cant tell what I've done or even a windows update maybe, It came into working after I had looked around all the settings in both LR and Windows my other two programs now work as well
Thanks for your help at least it made me look around at setting like you described
I did try to look like you described in your article but ii'm still trying to get around win 10 and found it not quite the same
I have to start with a new catalogue in LR because my existing Cat is all messed up so that is my next challenge
Thanks again

No problem. You could start another thread about your messed up catalog to see if that's fixable.

Oh, when you say your existing catalog is messed up, do you mean it's saying there's an error opening it? If so, try this: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/...

It might be a good idea
Because the way windows 10 organizes your photos to show people, its not a real reflection of the directory structure hence where you have stored your photos Luckily LR sees your file structure as it is .
I'll have a go at sorting them out and see what kind of trouble I get in to , my problem is I don't delete straight away thinking I may use them later or part of them later.
Thanks for all your help

No Its just my organization that's not very good , in the pursuit of a solution I upgraded to LR CC Free Trial to see if a new program would help so I started a new catalogue that's all
I'm thinking of taking the offer of both new packages that is on the go now if only I can log on to the offer I only get a blank page I should try another approach maybe by phone
