lightroom: 7.2 Moving files to a folder is not updating metadata as expected

In Library, Moving files to a folder is not updating metadata as expected.   (I normally assign the 'keepers' to collections, then move those images in the collection to a folder named after the collection. This allows me to archive just the good stuff. Been doing this for years.)

In Library, I drag the image onto the folder (on the left, under folders). And as expected the number of files in that folder goes up as expected.  (Perhaps 133 to 134)  However, the 'File Path' on the right under meta data does not update as expected.  (Continues to show the previous path)  If I exit LR now. And re-open it, the file in question is shown as missing. (Also the file count shown under folders shows the previous number, at 133, although there as 134 files now in the folder.)

If I locate the image, the file path in meta data is updated and the file is fine going forward.

I have noticed, that if after dragging the file to the folder;   If I click on a different image, then click back on the moved image, I will sometimes see the 'File Path' in the meta data change to the that of where the file has been moved to.  Once the meta data shows the correct path, that image is fine going forward.

This has been happening all week.   And this is how I have been doing my workflow, without issue, for years.
