I have major instability issues - resulting even in my first system hang on my iMac, not allowing anymore to access any MacOS functionality. There are many different features which I cannot use in the same way as I used them in LR5. I am often switching between Full Screen and other modi back and forth and use different keyboard shortcuts. Copying of presets has also issues and is not always working, the history not updating correctly.
I never had any comparable issues when upgrading LR which I did since LR 1.0. First time that I regret to have paid the upgrade. Hope stability updates come soon.

What OS version are you using?

And an application cannot cause the entire system to hang, reboot, or shut down. Only OS bugs, low level driver bugs, or hardware defects can cause those behaviors.

I am using OS X Yosemite. I try to get a screenshot of the UI before such 'freeze' but the issue is not easy reproducible. I am using various shortcuts and switch between different screen modes regularly in LR - in particular I switch often between the different background color ("l") during development. When I had the issues I could not switch to other running applications, the system always switched back to LR which did show black UI elements with white borders on individual items - but not responsive at all.
