Lightroom 6 (inc 6.5.1) Map module corruption - affects multiple monitor setups

I use Lightroom 6 on my Windows Surface Pro 3 (running Windows 10), and when at home I connect it to the Surface Dock with two external monitors.  When using the Map module, the map appears and works fine if the Lightroom Main window is the Windows Surface screen.  However, when using other monitors for Lightroom (my setup involves using two 27" monitors, Main and Secondary), the Map module either doesn't work at all, or shows an upside down map which takes minutes to load, and so is unusable.

The only workaround is to move the Lightroom Main window back to the Surface screen (where it works fine), however this means using a 12" screen rather than 27".  This defeats the purpose of multiple monitor support!  The Library and Develop modules have no issues.

Can somebody help me in either letting me know an effective workaround that involves using external monitors, or let me know if this is indeed a bug?

It looks like this problem hasn't been fixed in Lightroom 6.6
