You'll need to be a little more specific - what's happening when you try to import?

In Library mode, having downloaded new RAW files onto the computer: Right click their location, 'synchronize folder'. The menu appears showing that there are the number of new images to import into LR. BUT, the message pops up that there are no new photos or videos to import (wrong!). This has only been an issue since the new update a few days ago - as the hundreds of thousands of complaints and blog complaints on the internet - as Adobe has apologized for and yet to fix .........

Perhaps you need to roll back to a previous version until the synchronize option is repaired. Here are instructions: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/...

'Roll back' - lol. This involves re-downloading LR. This may come as a shock to you but not everyone has a fast and stable broadband. It took me 3 days to download LR v6 successfully and you want me to do this again on the off-chance that it will work..... It doesn't help that Adobe, in all their simple wisdom, delete the original download (which I paid for) from the computer - THAT is the obvious option, allow the original purchase/download to remain on the computer to prevent irritating ignorant software designers from f#$k~*g up.

It's a bug in 6.2. It's working correctly in 6.1.1 and should be fixed in 6.3, as soon as it's available. In the meantime, you can work around it by using the import dialog to import that folder.
