Lightroom 6.1.1 memory leak during rendering 1:1 previews

I know, no one from Adobe is listening to customers, but I will try it anyway:

I do render 1:1 previews on import of 1500 NEFs from Nikon D800. After 10-15% of rendered previews LR takes 10GB of RAM and soon will take all available memory (16GB). I have to restart it and run rendering of previews again. All Windows & Nvidia updates installed.

There is some kind of memory leak in LR. See attached screenshot of Task Manager.

Why do you have to restart it? What goes wrong? With the latest version of LR I can render thousands of D810 nefs at about 5 secs per image. The previous version slowed down, but not the current one.

As to a memory problem, 'empty memory is wasted memory' according to Microsoft. Windows will fill all memory with anything that it thinks you might want again, but most of it is available if a program wants it. I'm not saying there may not be a memory problem, but just because the memory is in use, doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem.

Hi Bob, thank for your time to reply. You are right, sometimes apps are using free memory to cache things, but this is not this case. Other programs starts to crash due to low memory taken by LR, like Google Chrome running on background.

I have to add, the even when 1:1 previews are rendered and available on drive, in Develop module takes almost 5 seconds to display preview, when I switch between photos. When photo is selected, LR display blured preview image, then it tooks seconds to display sharper 1:1 preview. I don't know why it is not displayed immediately, especially if I'm not modifying photo and switching 1 photo forward, 1 photo back and repeat this steps, LR is always something counting for seconds to display sharp 1:1 preview (in Develop module). For me, this is unacceptable behaviour. I have 1:1 preview available on SSD drive, it MUST be displayed immediately in a fraction of a second.

My GPU support in LR is off, my Intel i7 3770K is running on 4.5GHz, so this simple task like loading and displaying preview image from SSD drive (or even better from LR cache - it would be good idea to read 5 previews in ahead to memory cache), must happen immediately.
