LIghtroom 5 and 6 does not read EXIF-GPS data from Canon 6D files.

HI, I have taken some images with my Canon 6D with the GPS enables. Looking at the file in Explorer, the GPS data is there, but it is not read by Lightroom nor found in the .xmp-file (which is not surprising since I couldn't find it in Lightroom). I had this problem also in LR5.7, but hoped it would go away when I now tried LR6.

Example image can be found here:

Using http://regex.info/exif.cgi , which was suggested elsewhere on this site, confirms that there are location info in the exif data.

I have this problem in Lightroom 4. I am using a Nikon D300, a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx, and HoudahGeo. GPS metadata is being properly embedded in all image files (jpg) as demonstrated by viewing the images with other applications and uploading the images to independent websites but Lightroom is not recognizing the metadata or displaying the coordinates in the GPS field of the Library module.

I would gladly update Lightroom but it sounds like this problem is present in Lightroom 5 and 6 also. Come on Adobe, get it fixed.
