Lightroom 5.7 and Camera Raw 8.7: Has auto-toning algorithm changed recently?

Current photo (D300 NEF) auto-toning results:

Adobe Standard: Exposure = +.75
Camera Standard (v4): Exposure = +.3
Camera Vivid (v4): Exposure = -.25

I don't remember such radical swings in exposure based on camera profile. There are substantial swings in contrast too (more than I remember), and to a lesser extent the others (not sure whether more than "before"..).

???

With my 7D Mark II in LR 5.7.1, using Auto tone, I see more variation in the Blacks and Whites than I do in Exposure when switching between Adobe Standard and any of the Camera match profiles which are mostly very similar. We don't have a Vivid profile for Canon though, so maybe that is more different.

Thanks Steve.

PS - Nikon's Vivid is very-much like Canon's Landscape.

That's what I thought, but even Auto tone with Landscape wasn't much different from the other Camera match profiles.

Thanks again - I'll keep my eye on it. I did a bit more spot checking - seems not to occur with all photos.. - this story still unfolding...
