Lightroom 2015: Unresponsive (hang/freeze) after several minutes of use since Windows 10 upgrade

I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday. I've had Lightroom installed for several months without any issues on Windows 8.1. I upgrade to Windows 10 yesterday and when using Lightroom, or letting it sit for several minutes idle, it will lockup. I have the spinning circle of death on the application and I cannot do anything with it. All I can do is forcefully exit the application. I'm running Lightroom CC 2015, upgraded about 2 weeks ago or so. No problems until yesterday.

I did have my catalog file stored in my One Drive folder. I have moved it out of that folder in case some kind of synchronization process with the new One Drive app is causing a lockup. I'll have more information soon, if that's the issue. I could not see anyone else that had this issue in the threads. I saw where someone could not open the catalog, but I have no problems there. It's after it's been open a while that it happens.

Which version of Lr that you are currently running on your new Windows 10 machine? If you're running Lr 6.2.1, try the http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lightroom-cc-2015-2-takes-100-cpu-when-creativ... to see if it helps or you could try to downgrade to Lr 6.1.1 http://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-roll-back-to-lightroom-2015-1-1-or-lightroom-6-1-1/.

Thank You Simon Chen
I downgraded to 6.1 and now its stabile and the GPU accelerator seems to work fine, the "only" thing that not work is dehaze because it only in the new upgrade.
I dont think that the picture I have dehazed i the newest version are dehazed any more. I look forward to a new upgrade which work as it should do, The dehaze was one of the best upgrade to mee.

If you are CC member with the subscription, dehaze is available in Lr 6.1.1 as a global control in the develop effects panel. In Lr 6.2, dehaze is also available as a local adjustment control.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Freezing Lightroom.

I am running windows 10 operating system and Photoshop lightroom - Creative Cloud version. Recently Lightroom has become unstable. I've not really identified when it happens; but when I am in develop mode it frequently freezes; I get a messge that Lightroom' or lightroom Develop is not responding. I close it down and reopen it and it may or may not then perform normally for session. Do i need a reinstall?
