Lightroom 2015.8 on Mac Sierra OS- Can't rename folder

I have a question for the group, more a request for assistance.  I can't seem to rename the folders in Lightroom, version 2015.8.  I'm currently using a Macbook Air, Sierra OS.  I restarted my computer, only after needing to force shut down Lightroom to do so (which could be a separate problem).

Does anyone know how I can avoid this error and rename my file folders in Library?

i would get out of 2015.8 and roll back to 2015.7 - bug fixes for 2015.8 must surely be coming up soon - and then try renaming again

Can you rename the file from the Finder? It looks like a permissions problem. Troubleshoot user permissions

Try getting YASU (Yet Another System Utility), which can fix your Home folder permissions if they've gotten hosed. Goggle it.
