Lightroom Mobile: Crash when sharing

If I choose an image in LR Mobile to export to Instagram, my phone screen sometimes goes blank and is unresponsive when the message says "Preparing". The phone actually crashes and I have to restart. When I restart it shows my battery almost dead. I plug it in and it's at the % where it crashed and the phone runs fines. Go back into LR and try the process again, same thing may happen again. This is a random event but this evening I could get it to happen overtime I tried to share.

And the crash only happens in LR. When the phone restarts every other app runs fine. I've never had a crash like this happen in the year I've had the phone.

If this happened outside my office I'd be in a bad situation since the only way to get this out of the loop is to plug it in.

My phone is a 6s running iOS 10.0.2

This has happened to me 4-5 times before this evening.

Hi,

thank you for the post.

When you mention that it crashes - do you get a crash dialog when you start the application after the crash?
If so - did you send the crash report or have you set it to always send once before?

What images are you sharing - e.g. type, size and dimensions  as well as where they were imported would help a lot.

Thanks,
Ignacio

No dialog after the crash.
Files were DNG synced from the desktop. 3024px x 3024px
They were being shared to Instagram.

*Note: sharing this morning was fine, no crash. This crash is an occasional thing, but something isn't right.

Does this happen after several sharing to Instagram or can it happen when you share an image for the first time during the session?

Some info related to the image and sharing would help:
Are you sharing maximum available?
Is it a cropped DNG - do you happen to know which camera it comes from and if you have problems with DNG's only?

Btw you mention that the phone crashes and not only the app, are you able to force quit the app?

Thanks,
Ignacio

Always happens the first time in a session.

Sharing max file of a cropped DNG shot with the iPhone camera.

I'm only uploading DNGs.

I had no chance to force quit the app because the crash brings the whole phone down to a black screen. As I mentioned the only way out of the screen is to plug in the phone where it then reboots.

Ok, so if you have 100% battery when you start the app  - you also run into this?
Btw which app did you shoot the DNG with? And which one did you crop it with?

I'd have to try with 100%. I do think this has happened only when I've been under 50%.
Shot with Pro Camera app.
Cropped in LR on the desktop.
