Lightroom Classic: Why has the interface changes and no tethering (Installed wrong version of Lightroom)

What has happened to my old Lightroom put it back I dont like and cant use the new version. I use tethered now I dont have it. Looks like I'll have to jump ship

It sounds like you've installed Lightroom (Cloud Based Ecosystem) instead of Lightroom Classic. Lightroom Classic is where you tether. Go to your Creative Cloud app and install Lightroom Classic.  You can also use the Creative Cloud app to uninstall the Lightroom version you have now.

Hi Graham, you want to install Lightroom Classic (8.3.1). Looks like you installed Lightroom 2.3 which is the new cloud focused version of the app,

thanks. Ive had lightroom for a few years and all of a sudden it changed on me. I will look into it thanks

ooh thanks peeps got it back. had flash back to useing windows then haha. dont know what happened but sorted now.
